Creating bold strips!

Creating a fun background with distress ink! Card Base: A2 side folding card base made from smooth white cardstock. Background: White cardstock trimmed to leave a bit of a white border on card base. Shades of green distress ink is stenciled in broad line vertically. I used a pink copic marker to add a thinner line in between. Focal Point: Bouquet of flowers and metal bucket cut from white cardstock and colored with distress ink and flowers colored with a yellow copic marker. Arranged together with liquid glue and foam squares. Framed by the swirly ribbon frame cut from white cardstock. Sentiment: Stamped on white cardstock and cut using a coordinating die adhered with foam squares. I hope you got some inspiration and enjoyed the project I made. New Coordinating Dies for Tim Holtz stamp sets - Tiny Things

Today Simon Says Stamp is releasing coordinating dies for Tim Holtz previously released stamp sets . I am sharing one of the new die sets that coordinate with the Tiny Things stamp set . I just love all the small images and how detailed they are. No more fussy cutting for Tim's beautiful stamps!  I was inspired by Nichole Spohr's project of the octopus holding some of the Tiny Things in it's tentacles. Click here to see her project. She is so talented! Card Base: Smooth white 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock cut in half to create an A2 top folding size card base. Background: I used a gingham background stamp and distress inks. I trimmed it down to fit the card base but leave a bit of a border. Focal Point: I chose a few of the images from the Tiny Thing stamp set and used copic friendly black in to stamp them on white cardstock. Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . This week's challenge theme ~ Things with Wings! This week we are featuring products from  Lawn Fawn. Today I am featuring the Lawn Fawn Big Blossoms die set along with the Simon Says Stamp Bright Butterflies dies for this week's challenge. I've made two projects for this challenge. Card Base: Top folding half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock cut to an A2 size card base. Background: Scalloped arch die cut and ink blended with distress ink. I also added some ink splatters. Focal Point: Flower images cut from the Lawn Fawn Big Blossoms die set and colored with copic markers and distress ink. Butterflies are also colored with copic and distress ink. Little Birdie Thanks

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing an adorable project featuring the Fable Birdie die  ,  Timeless Thanks die  and the Drawn Hearts stencil from the Simon Says Stamp Always There release.    Card Base: 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of craft cardstock cut in half and folder to create a top folding landscape A2 size card base. Background: I trimmed down a quarter sheet of white cardstock to leave a bot of a border. I covered the panel with the stencil and low tac tape to hold it in place so I could add the pink texture paste. I created the pink color by adding a drop if distress refill ink to the white texture paste. Focal Point: I cut a banner die from light pink cardstock and added it to the stenciled panel. I cut the birdie die from yellow cardstock and adhered it to the banner with foam squares. Sentiment: I cut the thanks sentiment die from light pink cardstock and the shadow from a coral cardstock. Tim Holtz stamps and Simon Says Stamp coordinating dies Blog Hop

I am happy to be participating in the Tim Holtz stamps and Simon Says Stamp coordinating dies blog hop! I always look forward to the new dies that coordinate with Tim's amazing stamp sets. Today I am sharing the new dies for the adorable Tim Holtz Sea Life stamp set . Super fun and easy card to make! Here are the steps.. Card Base: 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of Fog cardstock cut in half and folder to create a side folding landscape A2 size card base. Background: I used a quarter sheet of white cardstock and ran it through a stitched rectangle die that would leave a bit of a border. Focal Point: I chose the seahorse image from the stamp set for my focal point. I stamped the image five times in colors I thought would be different but go together well. I then used the coordinating die to cut them out and added them to the stitched white panel with foam squares. Sentiment: I chose a sentiment from my stash and stamped it in a gray ink under the seahorses. I hope you enjoyed the project I made us...

Today Simon Says Stamp is releasing coordinating dies for Tim Holtz previously released stamp sets . I am sharing one of the new die sets that coordinate with the Floral Elements stamp set .  I just love the whimsically drawn look to these blooms. No more fussy cutting for Tim's beautiful stamps! Card Base: Half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock cut to a top folding A2 size cardbase. Background: Quarter sheet of white cardstock trimmed to a panel that will leave a bit of a border. Using black alcohol friendly ink I stamped leaf images from the stamp set and colored with copic markers. I used distress ink to blend the edges of the panel and added some ink splatter. Focal Point: Floral Images stamped on white card stock in black ink. I used copic markers to color the flowers in and then I used the coordinating die to cut them out and add them to the background panel. Sentiment: I wrapped gold thread around the background panel and tied a bow and adhered to the card base. The sentim...

Today I am featuring the gorgeous Concord & 9th Pretty Posies layering stencils. I just could't stop creating these floral backgrounds so I made three projects for this week's challenge. I'm also featuring the Simon Says Stamp Solo Smile die for my sentiment. Card Base: 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of white cardstock cut in half and folder to create a top folding landscape A2 size card base. Background: Quarter sheet of white cardstock that I placed on a sticky mat to add flowers with a layering stencil and distress ink. Fiesta Circles Sending Love

Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a colorful project featuring the Fiesta Circles die set from the Simon Says Stamp Always There release.   Card Base: Top folding A2 size card base made with smooth white cardstock. Background: Quarter sheet of white cardstock ink blended with distress ink and added to card base with craft glue. This panel was trimmed down to leave a bit of a white border. Focal Point: I used the fiesta circle dies to create a fun design by cutting them out of white cardstock and ink blending them with distress ink and adhering them together and placing the circles in the upper left hand corner of the purple panel. Using a paper trimmer I cut the overlapping circles to be flush with the panel. I used ink splatters for some interest. Sentiment: I cut the Love die from gold and white cardstock. I adhered them together with craft glue for thickness and added it to the center of the smallest circle. I added a sub-sentiment banner above with foam squares. This is...

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . This week's challenge theme ~ Masculine This week we are featuring products from Tim Holtz. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store! This week I am featuring my favorite medium from Tim Holtz , the distress ink. It is my go to ink for blending, shading and watercoloring. Todays make is a really fun father's day card. As you can see I have used distress ink to add color to the various elements of this card. I ink blended the edges of the red cardstock mat. I also ink blended the torn stitched background and did some ink splattering with a paintbrush. I used distress ink to color my popcorn kernels and the elements of the box as well as the letters. I made a second one with a gingham mat stamped in red ink with the edges distressed.  I have an Ins...
