Image
Today Simon Says Stamp is releasing coordinating dies for Tim Holtz previously released stamp sets . I am sharing one of the new die sets that coordinate with the Tiny Things 2 stamp set . I just love all the small images and how detailed they are. No more fussy cutting for Tim's beautiful stamps!  Card Base: Smooth white 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock cut in half to create an A2 top folding size card base. Background: Quarter sheet of white cardstock scored every 1/2 inch on a scoring board with a score tool. I then took a distress ink pad and added ink directly to the raised lines to make a plank wood background. Focal Point: Mini tags cut form craft cardstock stamped with a script background stamp and used distress ink around the edges. Hello crafty friends! I am happy to share a project featuring the Peony Trio embossing folder from the new  Simon Says Stamp Shine On release. Oh I how I love to color these gorgeous 3d embossing folders. The raised areas help you achieve that water color look without all the mess. Card Base:Top folding half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock cut to an A2 size card base. Background: Quarter sheet of white cardstock that I added yellow ink on the smooth inside of the folder with a brayer and then ran through the embossing folder and trimmed down to leave a bit of a border. Focal Point: The peony floral imprint is the focal point that I colored with copic markers. I used the "flicking" motion with the tip of the marker to create a watercolor look. Finished it off with a few splatters of gold paint. Sentiment: Sentiment die cut from gold cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock. Adhered to the card with foam squares.
