Darling Duckies - new baby card

Image
Hello crafty friends! Today I have created a sweet card featuring the Simon Says stamp Darling Duckies embossing folder that I thought would be perfect to give to welcome a new baby. Card base: White cardstock cut to the size of an A2 top folding notecard. Background and Focal Point: I wanted these cute duckies from the Darling Duckies embossing folder to be the focal point for this project. Inside the embossing folder each side has a raised or a "valley" that creates the impression. I took an ink pad and rubbed it on the "valley" side to add color behind the ducks. I then colored the ducts using it's coordinating stencil with distress inks. Sentiment: The Blessed die cut cut from white cardstock three times and adhered together with crafty glue for thickness. I then cut the shadow from white cardstock and used distress inks in orange to make the word pop! The sub-sentiment was stamped in a coordinating color on a strip of white cardstock. I trimmed it down a...
