Lawn Fawn Things with Wings
Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme ~ Things with Wings!
This week we are featuring products from Lawn Fawn. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
Today I am featuring the Lawn Fawn Big Blossoms die set along with the Simon Says Stamp Bright Butterflies dies for this week's challenge. I've made two projects for this challenge.
Card Base: Top folding half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock cut to an A2 size card base.
Background: Scalloped arch die cut and ink blended with distress ink. I also added some ink splatters.
Focal Point: Flower images cut from the Lawn Fawn Big Blossoms die set and colored with copic markers and distress ink. Butterflies are also colored with copic and distress ink. I used craft glue and foam squares to adhere them to the background.
Sentiment: I stamped the sentiment in a coordinating ink and used a coordinating die to cut it out and adhere it to the card base with foam squares.
I made a second card using most of the same items.
Card Base: Smooth white half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock top folding A2 size cardbase.
Background: Quarter sheet of heavy cardstock ran through a brick embossing folder. I used antique linen distress ink pad to drag over the raised areas of the embossed panel then glued it to the card base.
Focal Point. I die cut out butterflies and colored them in with copic markers and added some dot detail. I used foam square to adhere them to the top of the brick embossed panel. I then die cut the flowers, stems and leaves from white cardstock and used a combination of distress ink and copic markers to add color to them. I used glue and foam squares to add them to the brick panel. I also used a grass border die and a gold frame to complete the scene.
Sentiment: I stamped the sentiment in clear ink and sprinkles gold embossing powder over it, heat set it and cut it out with a coordinating die. I added the sentiment with more foam squares.
