Love You, Mom card
Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a project using a few items from the Simon Says Stamp In My Heart release to create a beautiful Mother's Day project. This is a colorful card that features the new Love You, Mom wafer die, Best Mom Background stamp, Flourish Butterfly Trio dies, and Apricot cardstock.
Card Base: A2 size top folding card base made from white cardstock
Background: Stitched rectangle die used to cut a panel from Apricot cardstock to leave a bit of a white border. From watercolor paper I cut an arched panel. I added watercolor with distress ink and a paintbrush. Then I inked up a script background stamp with a coordinating ink and stamped that over the arched panel.
Focal Point: I cut the trio of butterflies from white cardstock and ink blended them with distress ink using the same ins that I watercolored background with. I added some dots to each butterfly with a white gel pen. The bodies of the butterflies are cut from gold metallic cardstock as well as the mini butterflies.
Sentiment: I die cut the sentiment twice once from white cardstock and once from gold cardstock. The shadow was cut from vellum. I snipped the MOM portion of the sentiment from the gold cut and adhered it over the white MOM cut. I then used liquid glue to add the entire sentiment directly onto the arched panel. I then tied twine around the arched panel before adhering it to the matted card base.
This is an amazing release and I hope you got some inspiration. I have listed all the supplies I used for this project below for your convenience. Thank you for stopping by!
