Merry Christmas Bells

Hello crafty friends! Today I am going way out of my comfort zone and tapping into my inner Tim Holtz. I am featuring the Simon Says Stamp Bells die set and I going to just distress the heck out of these pretty bell dies! I inked, smudged, sprayed and tried to do all the things I've watched Tim do. I hope you like them as much as I do because it was a lot of fun.
Card Base:Top folding half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock cut to an A2 size card base.
Background: I cut a quarter sheet of light green cardstock and used a gingham background stamp and a darker green ink to create this panel. I trimmed it to leave a bit of a white border.
Focal Point: I cut two of the Bell dies out of watercolor paper and gold cardstock. I used distress ink to add color to the bells as well as spritzing water and gold paint. I list all the colors I used below in the supply list. I then trimmed the gold cuts to add the ball part of the image and adhered it with some craft glue. I then used the bow embossing folder to cut, emboss and color with copic markers the bow I adhered to the top of the bells.
Sentiment: I used an old favorite from my stash to create a circular sentiment cut from gold cardstock to frame the bell. I then cut the Merry sentiment from white cardstock and colored it with the same copic markers. I used some foam squares that I trimmed to pop it up under the focal point.
I hope this inspires you to pull out those inks and paints and just have some fun! I have listed and linked most of the supplies I used for these projects. Thanks for stopping by!
