Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Moments Blog Hop - Day 1

This release is filled with wonderful Spring items! I wanted to create a basket of just brimming with spring flowers. It's been such a cold and ugly winter so I just had to create some spring blooms.
Card Base: Top folding A2 size card cut from smooth white cardstock.
Background: I used a plaid stencil from my stash to create a simple background on gray cardstock that I cut out using a stitched rectangle die.
Focal Point: I used the Simon Says Stamp Country Basket Bouquet die images to create this fun spring basket filled with flowers. I cut the basket from white cardstock and used some ink to add a distress ink. I cut many flowers and used more distress ink to add color to each flower. I arranged and adhered the flowers with liquid glue and some with foam squares.
Sentiment: I stamped the sentiment from the Basket of Blooms stamp set and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I stamped it in a coordinating. I added sequins around the sentiment for a little sparkle.

    The new Country Basket Bouquet dies are so awesome and your card did them justice. By changing the colors of the flowers this die set will work for all seasons. Your stenciled background worked wonderfully behind the basket, it was subtle and let the flower basket be the focus. Wonderful card, thanks for sharing.

Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Party

Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Blog party . Today I am sharing three fall themed projects using goodies from the STAMPtember release . 👇Special promotion exclusive for this post!👇 The first project features the Twisted Tree Arch die set , Haunted Pumpkin die set and the cute Trick or Treat 2 die. I used a lot of ink blending and die cutting for this project. I used a cloud border stencil and distress ink to create the background. The trees was cut from dark brown cardstock and everything else was cut from white cardstock and colored with distress inks. Next, I used the gorgeous Mod Forest Embossing folder to create the colors of Autumn. I also used the new Be Patient die cut from gold cardstock. I embossed a white piece of cardstock and used a small blender brush to color in the "valley" side of the embossed panel with distress inks and then dragged a brown ink pad directly over the colored trees creating the distressed autumn scene with a few inks splatters.
