Gina K Design Something New!

This week's challenge theme ~ Something New!

This week we are featuring products from Gina K Designs. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

It's a new year of wonderful Wednesday challenges! I am excited to showcase my new Gina K Designs Sketched Roses and coordinating dies.  I just love the coordinating dies that make this stamp and die set so versatile.

I created this card using an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I used the same white cardstock to create a stitched rectangle panel. I used a half sheet of vellum and a circle die to create a mask for ink blending.

I laid the mask over the the white panel on a sticky acrylic mat to hold in place while I applied a light layer of ink. I then added a floral stencil over the inked circle with the mask still in place and applied the same ink with more pressure to create a darker color. I removed the mask and stencil to reveal a colorful circle background. I used black ink to stamp the roses and sentiment. I die cut the sentiment twice and adhered it to the panel with liquid glue.
