Sweet Treat Critters card
Taking a little break from making holiday cards to create a fun shaker birthday project using the new Sweet Treat Critters from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember release.
I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I created a window panel using a small square die and a stitched rectangle die that I cut from more white cardstock. I used liquid glue to add acetate to the back of the 4 square window cuts to create the shaker element.
I then added foam strips around each window to pop it up to create room for the iridescent shaker bits. I enclosed each window with the foam strips. I ink bended behind each window with distress inks directly on to the card base.
I then stamped the cute images from the stamp set using black ink and colored them in with copic markers. I then stamped the speech bubbles from the stamp set with clear ink and heat set with gold embossing powder. I cut out the sentiment from gold cardstock and matted it with white and adhered under the windows with foam squares. Last, I added a few colorful enamel dots to finish this project up.
