Waffle Flower Stitch It!

 Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme ~ Stitch It!

We are featuring products from Waffle Flower. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

This week I am featuring the Waffle Flower Overlapping Vertical MERRY die. If you look closely I added liquid glitter stitching all around the MERRY letters. Sorry the photos don't show it too well.

I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then created a plaid background using a grid paper pad, post-it tape and distress oxides. I have a little video showing that technique over on my Instagram page.

I cut the MERRY die from white cardstock three times and adhered together with liquid glue. I then used liquid Stickles to add sparkly stitching around each letter and set aside to dry. I then cut a frame from white cardstock and adhered that to a piece of acetate. I trimmed off the overlap of the acetate and added foam strips to create my shaker element. I used clear sparkly glitter for my shaker bits and adhered the sentiment over the center. I used a pre-printed sentiment card and adhered it to the bottom.
