Newton's Nook Cute Critters

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme ~ Cute Critters

We are featuring products from Newton's Nook. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week I am featuring the adorable Newton's Nook Cookie Jar stamp set. I just fell in love with this cute little kitten sneaking into the cookie jar!
I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then masked off the edges of the card base to create a plaid background using a ruler and copic markers. I then stamped the images from the stamp set and colored them in with more copic markers. I used detailed scissors to fussy cut them out and added some details with a white gel pen.
Next, I used the nested stitched rectangles to create a frame. I wanted this to be a shaker card so I added acetate to the back of the frame with liquid glue and foam tape around all the edges to hold the shaker elements. I used a small circle punch to cut out the little cookies from craft colored cardstock. I used a brown copic marker to make the chocolate chips. I added a few clear sequins and some red jewels to match the color scheme.

I created this card with an A2 card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of Yupo paper to create an autumnal background using alcohol inks. When it was dry I trimmed it down to fit the card base leaving a bit of a white border. I then die cut a frame from white cardstock and added to the card with liquid glue.
