The Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge is celebrating it's sweet 16th birthday this week! So I hope you love the festive project I have made for this special occasion.
I will list all the steps I did to create this card. First, I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then added a quarter sheet of white cardstock to a craft tacky mat to hold in in place white I used the Argyle Builder stencil set to create the background.
I used a blender brush and Distress inks for each layer. The last layer I used texture paste to create the white dotted line pattern. I set that aside to dry while I die cut the flowers and the stems from more white cardstock. I added them to the craft tacky mat again to hold them in place white I colored them with more distress ink and with a blender brush and a finger dauber.
The last element I created for this card was the sentiment. I die cut the sentiment and shadow from white cardstock. I ink blended the shadow in a coordinating ink from the background. I then die cut the sentiment 3 times and glued them together for thickness. I took the background and trimmed it down to leave a bit of a white border and added it to the cardbase along with the flowers, stems and sentiment. I finished off this card with a few clear sequins.
We want to thank all those that have participated and supported this challenge over the last 16 years! Simon is offering a special $50 shopping spree for those that enter in honor of this special occasion.
