Layering Cosmos Just a Note card
Hello! Today I am featuring the Simon Says Stamp Layering Cosmos stencil to create a colorful and simple project.
This is an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of white cardstock to use the layering stencil on.
I masked off each portion of the stencil I wanted to use. Each floral is a two step process. I used one color for each floral and two shades of green for the leaves. Just add more pressure when you ink blend the first stencil layer.
The second layer of the florals was blended a little lighter pressure to give the allusion that I used two shades for each flower. Brilliant! After I finished all the ink blending with the stencils. I used some ink and a paint brush to add some splatters. I also ink blended the corners of the panel in coordinating ink.
I suggest you grab a piece of scrap paper and play around a bit to figure out the shape of the florals. They are meant to create different shapes and dimension. You could even flip over the stencil to create even more options. It's really an amazing stencil from all the different shapes and direction the florals can be created.
Last, I created the sentiment. I die cut the sentiment and shadow from white cardstock. I also die cut the sentiment from light yellow cardstock to add on top with liquid adhesive. I added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle.
I hope you have enjoyed this project and got some inspiration to create something with layering stencils! I have provided affiliate links to the supplies I used for your convenience. Please feel free to leave a message if you have any questions. Thank you for stopping by!
