Honey Bee Make It Girly!
Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme Make It Girly!
We are featuring products from Honey Bee. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week I am featuring the amazing Honey Bee Lovely Layers Hoosier Cabinet die set. I love this die set so much. Because you can customize this die set for any occasion I have decided to make it into a shape card for Mother's Day.
I die cut out the elements of the cabinet die set that I wanted to use from white, brown and pink cardstock. I cut the card base from white cardstock and the front of the cabinet from white cardstock. I added detail to the card base with a scor tool for texture.
For the inside of the card I used a Mother's Day sentiment die and stamp cut from more pink and brown cardstock. To keep it flat I only die cut it once and adhered it to the inside of the card base with liquid glue. I stamped the sub-sentiment in dark brown ink.
I used copic markers to color in the elements of the cabinet. I purposely wanted it to look like an older cabinet by using some distress ink to the edges of the cabinet. I used liquid glue and an embellishment wand to add the crystal jewels for the cabinet knobs.
I hope you check out this amazing die set. I only used a fraction of all the little die images included in the set to customise my theme. The cabinet doors can swing open to reveal what's inside - so fun! I have provided affiliate links to all the products used in this project at no additional costs to you. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
