On a craft sticky mat I masked off the center of a piece of white cardstock with a rectangle I die cut out of vellum. I then used a plaid builder stencil set to create my own plaid background. I used distress inks and a blender brush to do so. I added some ink splatters and removed the mask. I then die cut the panel out with a stitched rectangle die and added to an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock.  I then die cut the feathers out of white ...

Beautiful Spring Thank You card

Image
Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a project using a few of the goodies from the new Simon Says Stamp You Are My Favorite release . It's tribute to the most beautiful time of the year - Spring! I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of white cardstock to create a background panel. I used the new Delicate Lattice stencil and distress inks. I then die cut one of the Petal Tipped Labels to frame my spring scene. I used a blending tool to add distress ink to the label and also a few ink splatters and adhered it to the card with foam squares. I then die cut the Exquisite Butterfly die twice from white cardstock and again ink blended the wings using distress ink. I arrange the two butterflies on the card front with more foam squares. For the sentiment I stamped it in clear ink and heat set with gold embossing powder. I used a coordinating die to cut it out and nestle it between the butterflies. Last, I added some flat white...

Simon Says Stamp You Are My Favorite Blog Hop - Day 1

Image
I'm so happy to be participating in day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp You Are My Favorite  blog hop.  I am sharing 3 projects that focus on Mother's Day. Don't miss the special offer for the blog hop today👇👇 My first project is a Mother's Day card featuring the Fantastic Florals embossing folder . This embossing folder comes with two coordinating floral dies. Using a white 1/4 piece of white cardstock i ran it through the embossing folder and colored the flowers with copic markers R20, R21, R22 and E47 for the centers. I used the coordinating dies to create masks for the florals so I could add color with distress ink for the background. Next, I created a gift tag for that special gift for Mom. I die cut the Scalloped Floral Tag set once from colored cardstock and again from white cardstock. I adhered the Mother's Day die that I cut three times for thickness on the colored tag. I then die cut many floral images from the Sweet Tiny Flowers die set in coordinating col...

Simon Says Stamp You are My Favorite Release Day

Image
It's release day! I am sharing a trio of Mother's Day cards using the absolute gorgeous Elegant Rose layering stencil set from the new Simon Says Stamp You are My Favorite release . These cards also showcase the new  Mother's Day die . Click HERE to see the entire release. If you would like to see me use this stencil in motion, I have an Instagram reel where I demonstrate how to stencil the pink rose and leaves. I used my craft tacky mat to hold a 1/4 sheet of white cardstock in place while I ink blended each layer of the stencil set. Pro tip: use a light removable adhesive spray to add to the delicate parts of the stencil layers to hold them easily in place while you apply ink with a blender brush. I then used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the stenciled panel and adhered to a white card base. I die cut the sentiment once from gold cardstock and once from a heavy white cardstock. I adhered to to the card base with foam squares to pop it up. Which one is your favorit...

Because you can customize this die set for any occasion I have decided to make it into a shape card for Mother's Day. I die cut out the elements of the cabinet die set that I wanted to use from white, brown and pink cardstock. I cut the card base from white cardstock and the front of the cabinet from white cardstock. I added detail to the card base with a scor tool for texture. For the inside of the card I used a Mother's Day sentiment die and stamp cut from more pink and brown cardstock. To keep...

Blend Miss You Blues

Image
I recently posted this Instagram reel and received a request to create this card using blues. So here it is! I began with a 1/4 sheet of smooth white cardstock. I laid it down on a craft tacky mat to hold it in place while I applied my ink with blending brushes. I began at the bottom with the lightest and progressed up with darker tones of blue. I then removed it from the mat and placed the ink blended panel in my MISTI so I could stamp the text background in the darkest of the blue inks. I then used white and gold watercolor to splatter over the surface of the panel for some interest. I set aside to dry while I die cut a frame, leaves and sentiment from white cardstock. I also die cut the sentiment from gold cardstock to adhere to the white for thickness. I used foam squares to adhere to the ink blended panel that I trimmed to fit an A2 size card base with a white border. I hope you have enjoyed this project and got some inspiration to blend those inks!  I have provided affiliate...

I die cut the plate again from green cardstock to create the leaves without having to color them. I arrange them on a piece of the polka...

Layering Cosmos Just a Note card

Image
Hello! Today I am featuring the Simon Says Stamp Layering Cosmos stencil to create a colorful and simple project. This is an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of white cardstock to use the layering stencil on. I masked off each portion of the stencil I wanted to use. Each floral is a two step process. I used one color for each floral and two shades of green for the leaves. Just add more pressure when you ink blend the first stencil layer. The second layer of the florals was blended a little lighter pressure to give the allusion that I used two shades for each flower. Brilliant! After I finished all the ink blending with the stencils. I used some ink and a paint brush to add some splatters. I also ink blended the corners of the panel in coordinating ink. I suggest you grab a piece of scrap paper and play around a bit to figure out the shape of the florals. They are meant to create different shapes and dimension. You could even flip over the...
