Waffle Flower Anything Goes
Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme Anything Goes
We are featuring products from Waffle Flower. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week I am using the Waffle Flower Dotted Rectangle dies to create a set of 4 bar cards. What is a 4 bar card? It is just a smaller version of an A2 size card base. Dimensions are usually around 3.5" X 5".
Each 4 bar card base is cut from smooth white cardstock. I will discuss the panels I create for each card.
Each panel was cut using the Waffle Flower Dotted rectangle die from white cardstock. I then masked off the edges of the panel with post it tape to leave a white border. I then used ink and a blending brush to add color to the panel. I then used a heart stencil to add hearts with ink and texture paste that I mixed with the ink to turn it from white to the desired color. In this case a light blue. I used a pallet knife to spread the paste all over the stencil. I set that aside to dry. I then die cut the sentiment three times from white cardstock and adhered together for thickness and glued it to the panel. I finished this card off by adding some enamel dots.
I did the same masking technique as the first card. This time I used flowers from a stencil and ink blended them onto the panel. I then added some detail to the centers of the flowers with a white gel pen. I used a skinny alpha die set to create the sentiment. I cut each letter three times from white cardstock for thickness and adhered them to the panel.
For this third card I die cut the dotted rectangle from white cardstock. I then trimmed down another piece of white cardstock to create a plaid panel. I ink blended each masked off strip with ink and used a copic marker and a white gel pen to add additional stripes. I die cut the sentiment three times for thickness and adhered to the panel.
This last card combines all the above mentioned techniques of masking, stenciling, ink blending and cutting the sentiment out three times and adhering it to the card. Each card was so fun to make!
