Newton's Nook Cute and Cuddly

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme is Cute and Cuddly!

We are featuring products from Newton's Nook.  You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week I have chosen to feature the "cute" Newton's Nook Coffee Delights stamp set to make for the challenge. I am not a coffee drinker myself but these little mugs were just too cute not to get!
I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of yellow cardstock to leave a bit of a white border and adhered it to the card base. I created a "scrapbook" layout look for this card by trimming down white cardstock into squares and a rectangle to fit inside of the yellow panel. I distressed each piece to the layout with an ink blending tool.
I then stamped the images from the stamp set in black ink and colored them with copic markers. I trimmed them out with detail scissors and added the images to the distressed shapes. I stamped the sentiment in red on the middle square. I adhered the images with foam squares for dimension and finished this project up with white gel pen detail and added a bit of sparkle with stickles.

Simon Says Stamp DieCember Blog Party

I'm so happy to be sharing inspiration for the Simon Says Stamp DieCember blog party! Be sure to take advantage of the  exclusive promotion for this blog party👇👇  I'm one of those rare people that begins to decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. Using the new Ornate Star die I created ornaments for my little flocked Christmas tree. I feel like I could make a dozen of these easily! I die cut the Ornate Star die once from gold cardstock and once from silver cardstock. I then glued the die cut stars on to silver and gold glitter paper. I weighted it with a large acrylic block to help the stars adhered firmly to the glitter cardstock. When the adhesive was dry I used a craft knife to cut out the stars from the glitter cardstock. I then die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from red metallic cardstock and white cardstock and adhered together for thickness and glued them carefully to the stars as to not have a glob of glue mess up the shine of the metallic cardstock.
