This Calls for Confetti Thinking of You
Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme is Thinking of You
We are featuring products from This Calls for Confetti. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
I am taking a small break from holiday cards to create a bright cheerful card to let you know that I am thinking of you! For a little bit of sparkle I am using This Calls for Confetti Sparkle all the Way confetti.
I created this card using an A2 card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another panel of white cardstock to create a diy plaid background. I taped down to the panel to my work surface and used long pieces of post it tape to create the lines that I ink blended with distress ink.
I just eyeballed each line I added and varied the thickness using a blender tool. It's so fun to customize a plaid background. I then die cut out the daisies, stems and leaves from white cardstock and colored them with distress inks except for the center of the daisies. I used copic markers for that part. I adhered onto the panel with foam squares. Pro tip: cut the leaves off the stems to stagger them for a natural look. I then die cut the Thinking of You die three times and adhered together with liquid glue for thickness. I added a few sequins for a little sparkle.
