Alex Syberia Back to School
Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme is Back to School!
We are featuring products from Alex Syberia. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
This week's theme is kind of bittersweet for me. Now that we are empty nesters, I miss the hustle and excitement of the new upcoming school year. But I can still enjoy making a project that pays tribute to those wonderful memories!! So I have chosen the simple but classic Alex Syberia Tiny Dot stencil to create the background for my back to school themed card.
This card came together very quickly outside of the copic coloring, which I enjoy immensely! I began with an A2 card base cut from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of light blue cardstock to stencil it with white opaque texture paste for a simple background.
I then stamped the pencils using black copic friendly ink and proceeded to color them in. I added some white gel pen for some detail. For the sentiment I used the Looking Sharp die cut from coral cardstock and the shadow cut from white cardstock. I fussy cut the pencils (there is a coordinating die if you hate that) out and adhered them with foam squares as well as the sentiment to the card panel.
I hope you enjoyed the project I have made for this challenge and got some inspiration! You can do it!!
For your convenience I have listed and linked the supplies I have used. The links below are affiliate links which means at no additional costs to you I will make a small percentage of each item your purchase which helps support my blog. Thank you so much for stopping by!
