Simon Says Stamp Cheering For You release Blog Hop - Day 1
I'm happy to be participating in the Simon Says Stamp Cheering For You release blog hop. I am sharing a project using the new Swirled Ridges embossing folder three ways! I have a reel on my Instagram showing a quick demonstration of each technique I used.
Simon is giving away a $25 shopping spree to a lucky winner! The winner will be picked from the comments left along the hop. Each comment you leave will be an entry into the drawing. REMEMBER: If you want to leave a comment on this post, make sure you include your name so we can reach you if you are selected for the giveaway!
Copic markers: I first ran a piece of white cardstock through the swirled embossing folder. Using several copic markers I colored each swirl. I then trimmed it down and added to a white A2 card base to leave a bit of a white border. The sentiment was cut 3 times from more white cardstock and ahered together for thickness. I stamped the sub-sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing ink and heat set it with white embossing powder.
Distress with sandpaper: This time before I ran the white piece of cardstock through the embossing folder, I applied distress inks heavily to each corner. When I removed it from the folder I used a sandpaper tool to buff off the top layer of the ridges to reveal the white underneath. Again, I die cut the sentiment 3 times from white cardstock for thickness. I stamped the sub-sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing ink and heat set it with white embossing powder. I added a few sequins for a bit sparkle. Note: Unfortunately I tried to link the Let' Party die and it has been discontinued.
Applying ink pad directly: Last, I applied distress inks lightly to each corner of a pice of white cardstock and then ran it through the embossing folder. I used the ink pad directly to the top of the raised parts of the pattern. I trimmed it down and added to the card base. I die cut the sentiment 3 times from white cardstock for thickness. I stamped the sub-sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing ink and heat set it with white embossing powder. I added a few sequins for a bit sparkle.
I hope you enjoyed the projects I have shared with you today. For lots more inspiration make sure you visit the Cheering For You gallery and day 2 of the blog hop.
