Penny Black Feminine

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme is Feminine

We are featuring products from Penny Black. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!

This week I have chosen the Penny Black Postage clear stamp set to create my project to share.

I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a piece of gray cardstock to leave a bit of a border. I used distress ink to add shading to the corners.

I the stamped the one of the images from the stamp set on white cardstock using a gray ink. I then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered this to the inked panel. I then trimmed another piece of gray cardstock to fit the inside of the postage image.  I then stamped other other images on this inside gray panel before adhering to the inside panel.

I die cut a flower from white cardstock and used distress ink and a small blending tool to color the petals, stem and leaves. Using foam squares I added this to the card.

Last, I die cut the sentiment from coral cardstock and white cardstock for thickness. I added it underneath the flower. I then stamped the sub-sentiment in clear ink and heat set that with white embossing powder. I trimmed it to be a strip and added about the hugs die cut.
