Simon Says Stamp Be Bold Release Blog Hop - Day 1
I'm happy to be participating in day 1 of the new Simon Says Stamp Be Bold blog hop. I am sharing a couple of fun projects using some goodies from this new release.
Make sure to take advantage of the special hop promotion! πππAlso, Simon is giving away a $25 shopping spree to a lucky winner! The winner will be picked from the comments left along the hop. Each comment you leave will be an entry into the drawing. REMEMBER: If you want to leave a comment on this post, make sure you include your name so we can reach you if you are selected for the giveaway!
This first project features the new CZ Happy die. I just love the simple elegance of this font!
I began with an A2 size card base cut from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel from plaid pattern paper and added a white strip of cardstock to the bottom. I then die cut flowers from several flower dies in my stash from colored cardstock. Using liquid glue I adhered them to the plaid panel with foam squares.
I then die cut the new CZ Happy die from yellow cardstock and twice from white cardstock and glued them together for thickness. I positioned it on the white cardstock strip. Before I glued it down I stamped the sentiment that would be above it. I then added some flat clear sequence to finish this card off.
My next project features the new Poppy Bundle embossing folder. I wanted a whimsical watercolor look. I used a piece of watercolor paper and embossed it with the folder.I used distress inks, mixed them with a bit of water, and painted the poppies and stems. Using a paint brush I splattered the same distress ink all over the embossed panel. I trimmed it down and ink blended the edges. I die cut the word happy from gold painted watercolor paper. I then stamped the word birthday in green ink and die cut it out with one of the new dies from the release. I tied gold twine around the panel and adhered it to the card base.
I hope you enjoyed the projects that I have shared with you today and got some inspiration. Be sure to check out the BE BOLD GALLERIE for lots more inspiration from this amazing new release. Be sure to tune in tomorrow for day 2 of the Be Bold Blog Hop. Happy Hopping!
For your convenience I have listed and linked all the goodies I used for these projects.

ReplyDeleteBoth your cards are very inspiring and gorgeous. I have spent 2 days trying to find those daisy dies you used on your plaid card. Since you said they were from your stash and you did not mention the company or the product name, I am disappointed because I really like thise daisy dies. Can you give me a clue about them? Please, please, please!
ReplyDeletePS To my comment about the daisy dies. I compared the daisies on your card to those you listed for sale from SSS and the petals are not the same. I like the ones you used better. So hoping to hear who makes ( made) those dies. Help!
