Picket Fence Easter/Spring
Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.
This week's challenge theme is Easter/Spring
We are featuring products from Picket Fence. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store.
I chose to make a Spring project for this week's challenge. This card combines flowers and Mother's Day. Perfect for a Spring theme!
I began with an A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I then cut a panel to fit the entire front of the card base to ink blend using distress oxides and a blender brush. Using the Picket Fence paper glaze and a pallet knife, I added a thing layer over the ink blended panel. I set aside to completely dry. I then ran the panel through the embossing folder to create a gorgeous textures background.
I then die cut the floral cover plate once from white cardstock and once from gold matte cardstock. I wanted to infuse the two die cuts into one by fussy cutting out the white flowers and frame and gluing to the front of the gold die cut. I added a bit of blue oxide to center of the flowers. I then added foam strips to the frame and added it to the cardbase. I also added foam tape behind the flowers. I then added the Mom die with a gold shadow.
I hope you enjoyed the project I have made for this challenge and got some inspiration! For your convenience I have listed and linked the supplies I have used below. Thank you so much for stopping by!
