I began with a panel of white cardstock to fit an A2 size card base. I cut it to leave a bit of a white border.  I used only one of two stencils that come in the Diamond Plaid stencil set. I sprayed it with Pixie Spray to help keep the dainty pieces of the stencil in place while I applied distress to the panel with a blending tool. Before I pulled off the stencil, I took a paint brush and splattered distress ink over

Tim Holtz "from the vault" Halloween card

Image
Tim Holtz is celebrating 15 years with Sizzix and he is bringing back his favorite designs from the vault ! I am happy to share a project using a couple of these very fun die sets. I am such a fan of Tim and everything he does but I especially love his Halloween dies and stamps.  I created this fun card by first adding distress ink with a blending tool to a panel of white cardstock. I then splattered water and white paint to create my spooky skyline. I die cut the graveyard image using the Fright Night die set from black cardstock and added it to the panel. I then die cut several of the spooky images from that set to create a fun scene on that panel. I adhered it to a white card base. I then die cut the sentiment from the Gothic Portraits die set and used the cool alphabet dies from the Coffin Box die set to finish this card off! I hope you enjoyed the project I have shared and got some inspiration. I have listed below the items I used to make this project. If you want to see the al

Using several copic markers I colored each swirl. I then trimmed it down and added to a white A2 card base to leave a bit of a white border. The sentiment was cut 3 times from more white cardstock and ahered together for thickness. I stamped the sub-sentiment on black cardstock with white embossing ink and he

Simon Says Stamp 2024 August Card Kit - Graceful Flowers

Image
I'm so excited to share some projects made with the new Simon Says Stamp August card kit. I just fell in love with the pattern paper in this kit! I have made them the focus of my projects today! I created these first set of cards with an A2 white card base. I trimmed down the gorgeous pattern paper to leave a bit of a white border. I then stamped the sentiments from the kit on to white paper with clear ink and heat set them with gold embossing powder. I die cut each sentiment out with an oval die and adhered them to the cards with twine and liquid glue. This next set of cards were created exactly the same way. The only difference is that I die cut birthday sentiments from white cardstock several times for thickness and adhered them to each card base. Special promotion exclusively for card kit subscriptions! I hope you enjoyed the projects I have made using this new Graceful Flowers Card Ki t and got some inspiration. I have listed the items I used and provided links if you are int

Repeating Rainbows card

Hello crafty friends! Just a quick post sharing a fun and easy project. I am using the new Simon Says Stamp Repeating Rainbow die . This die is so amazing! I love dies that are the perfect size for an A2 card base. Just add a sentiment and your done.👍 Using this new die, I cut it out of white, red, coral, orange and yellow cardstock. On an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock, I add adhesive over the entire surface of the card front with tape runner. I added the white cut first and then like a puzzle I added the other colors to create the colorful rainbow pattern. I then used the new "you brighten my day" die and cut it from gold cardstock and 2 times from white cardstock and adhered together for thickness. I cut the shadow for this die from vellum and added it to the card front. Last, I stamped the sub-sentiment on black cardstock using white pigment ink and heat set that with white embossing powder. I added a few sequence for a bit of sparkle. I hope you enjo

You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a  $25 voucher to the Simon store! This week's challenge is to make a shape card that is NOT square or rectangle! Are you up for the challenge? This is definitely out of my comfort zone. My go to card base is an A2 size rectangle card. I know very boring! So this is a good challenge for me. I pulled out my Art Impressions Nested Circle dies and used them to make a circle card base. I began with a sheet of white 8 1/2" by 11" cardstock. I folded it half and aligned a large circle die just above the fold line and ran that through my die cut machine. Using the same circle die I cut out a second circle to add on top of the car
