This week's challenge is to make a shape card that is NOT square or rectangle! Are you up for the challenge? This is definitely out of my comfort zone. My go to card base is an A2 size rectangle card. I know very boring! So this is a good challenge for me. I pulled out my Art Impressions Nested Circle dies and used them to make a circle card base.
I began with a sheet of white 8 1/2" by 11" cardstock. I folded it half and aligned a large circle die just above the fold line and ran that through my die cut machine. Using the same circle die I cut out a second circle to add on top of the card base to hide the bend at the top.
I then used the next size smaller of the circle dies to cut out the blue mat for the circle shaped card to leave a white border.
I pulled out of some flower and leaf dies from my stash to create a fun floral background on the blue circled panel. I colored the center of each flower using a gold copic marker. I arranged each flower and leaf is a random pattern and adhered them with 3d foam squares. I trimmed off the excess that was hanging over the edge of the blue circle panel.
I arranged each flower and leaf is a random pattern and adhere them with 3d foam squares that I trimmed down to fit behind the smaller dies. I then stamped the sentiment using a gold ink pad to match the center of the flowers. I used some clear embossing ink over the stamped image and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I used the coordinating die to cut it out 3 times for thickness and used more 3d foam square to adhere it to the card.
I hope you enjoyed the project I have made for this challenge and got some inspiration! You can do it!!
