STAMPtember Release Day!

Image
Hello crafty friends! I can't believe it is here!! It's STAMPtember !! Ok I'll turn down the exclamation points, but I'm super excited to be sharing a project made with some of the amazing goodies from this year's STAMPtember collection .  I made this fun autumnal thank you card using a few of the new products from the STAMPtember release . I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. Using the new Thread  Plaid Embossing folder I created a textured panel from gray cardstock and inked the edges with distress ink and added a few ink splatters for interest. I then die cut the new Rustic Layering florals from white cardstock and colored the petals and centers with with copic markers. I used the same distress ink to color the stems and leaves. I took piece of dark gray cardstock and trimmed it down to fit across the embossed panel. I used my sew machine and white thread to add a fun border to it. I added the flowers over it on the card and the

Happy Autumn Painted Leaves card

Hello crafty friends! My favorite time of the year is so close I can almost feel it through the 90 degree weather! I am sharing a great technique for those of us who love to watercolor but just don't have the amazing talent like watercolor artists out there!   I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then used a sheet of Tim Holtz watercolor paper to create a fun background. I ran the watercolor paper through the leafy greens embossing folder.  I then used several of the beautiful colors from a set of mica watercolors using a paint brush to create a autumnal background with some shine. I then die cut the sentiment from copper metallic cardstock and the shadow from white cardstock and added it to the card with foam squares.  I then stamped the sub-sentiment in clear embossing ink and heat set it with white embossing folder on a strip of dark red cardstock. I again used foam squares to adhere the strip to the cardbase. I hope you enjoyed the project I hav

As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a  $25 voucher to the Simon store! I made two projects for this week's challenge using the  Hero Arts Stacked Circle stencil  on both. One is dedicated to my friend Sidnie who lost her fierce battle with cancer recently. I met Sidnie when I joined the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge team many years ago. She was a mentor to me and others that were new on the team. She has been missed so much and always will be. 💔 I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then cut a panel of white cardstock and taped it to my desk.  I added several colors of distress ink and then laid the stencil over the panel and taped t

Best Day Ever card

Hello crafty friends! Just a quick post sharing a fun project combing ink blending and die cutting. Summer is winding down and I wanted to make one more bright floral card! The card base is made from smooth white cardstock cut to an A2 size. Using another panel of white cardstock, I die cut it using the Simon Says Stamp Detail Swirls cover plate . I used a light yellow distress ink to add color all over this panel with a rounded blending tool. I trimmed it down to leave a bit of a white border on the card base. I then die cut several leaves from the Simon Says Stamp Detail Elm Leaves set  and colored them with distress ink in various shades using a finger sponge dauber. I arranged them around the inked panel. I used gold paint to splatter bits of gold all over the leaves and the background. I then die cut the white flowers using Simon Says Stamp Fine Floral Stem and colored the center of the flowers with a yellow copic marker. I added the white flowers all around the leaves using foam

I made some fun Christmas tags using the adorable Framed Tags and Christmas Cutouts . I die cut the set of tags twice from smooth white cardstock and once from a light blue cardstock. I adhered them together for thickness with liquid glue. I then used a snow stencil and texture paste to create a falling snow background. When that was dry I cut a snow drift out of white cardstock to fit the bottom of each tag. I ink blended all the sides of the tags for a distress look. I the die cut all the images and sentiment from the Christmas Cutouts set u

Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit Projects-Chunky Thankful Greetings

I'm so excited to share some projects made with the new Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit Chunky Thankful Greetings. This is such an amazing set full of so many goodies! I made this card using an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then cut another panel of white cardstock to run through the Beautiful Butterfly embossing folder that is included in the kit or you can purchase separately.  I turned the embossed panel over to the "debossed" side and colored each little butterfly impression using yellow, orange and pink copic markers. I then added an light blue ink pad directly to the paper by dragging it down and across the whole panel. I then used the vellum paper that comes in the kit to stamp a sentiment using white ink and white embossing powder. Vellum is a great way to add a large sentiment without covering up all the work you did creating a fun background. I also die cut the Miss You from gold cardstock and white cardstock for thickness and adhered

Hi all and welcome to another week of the  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . This week's challenge theme is   Add a Sentiment! We are featuring products from Lawn Fawn . You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a  $25 voucher to the Simon store! I wanted to feature this week's theme a little different. This time the sentiment will be on the inside of the card! I am using one of my favorite Lawn Fawn Let's Toast stamp sets . We love our toast around here! Even as a late night snack💛 I began with an A2 top folding card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another panel of white cardstock to leave a bit of a border to create the background. I love making my own plaid background patterns so I used a few different plaid builder stencils in my stash along with distress inks to make a custom plaid to match my pallet for this project.
