Winter Birdies Holiday card

Image
Hello crafty friends! Today I am sharing a project featuring the new Simon Says Stamp Winter Birdies die set . This set are winter accessories for the Simon Says Stamp Birdies die set . When I was a little girl I used to love those paper doll kits creating outfits and adding accessories! This Winter Birdies dies just tapped into my inner little girl so I had so much fun with this project.  This is an A2 size card base made from bright red cardstock. I masked off a strip of the top and bottom of the a white panel with removable post it tape to ink blend a sunset using a cloud stencil and amber distress ink. I die cut the Simon Says Stamp Birdies out of white cardstock and ink blended the edges of the birds with Pumice Stone distress ink.  I colored in the beaks and legs with copic markers. I then die cut the Winter Birdie Accessories and colored them in with mix of copic and distress ink. I used a sentiment from the CZ Designs Tree Plate stamps and cut it out with the coordin...

As the most wonderful time of the year draws closer it also becomes more stressful to get things ready. It helps to have a quick and easy way to create many gorgeous cards to send out. I am featuring the amazing Simon Says Stamp Merry Cover Plate . Super simple! I used the Merry Cover plate die to cut once from white, red and pattern paper to create the front of this A2 card base. I added tape runner to front of the card base. I used the white cut first and then just paper pieced the rest of the elements together like a simple puzzle. I added ink to shade the red letters for depth. I stamped the Christmas in red ink and trimmed it down and added it to the bottom right corner of the card base. Today I am participating in an Instagram hop sharing one of the new coordinating dies created by Simon Says Stamp for the Tim Holtz Holiday Things stamp set .  I have used the snowflake image to create a colorful holiday project. I overlapped the colors of the distress ink when I added it to the snowflake before stamping it on to white cardstock. I then use clear ink and embossing powder to heat set for a bit of shine. I then used the coordinating die for the snowflake to cut out and arrange in a swash pattern over the stamped small snowflakes. I adhered them with 3d foam squares to pop them up.
