Daisy Hugs Wreath card

Image
Hello crafty friends! Today I wanted share a fun daisy wreath card that I made for a dear friend I have been missing. She loves daisies so I pulled out the Simon Says Stamp Rustic Layering flower die set to create the perfect daisy! I began with an A2 card base made from smooth white cardstock. I used a gingham background stamp to create a patterned panel stamped with distress ink. I trimmed that down using a stitched rectangle die to leave a white border. I die cut the Hugs sentiment from coral cardstock and twice more from white cardstock for thickness. I adhered them together with liquid glue. I then die cut sets of daisy heads from the Rustic Layering Flower die set out of white cardstock. I used copic markers to color the centers of the daisies. I arranged them in a wreath pattern on the background panel and adhered them with foam squares for dimension. I then stamped the sub-sentiment with the same ink I used for the background and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I the...

I cut it out using frame dies and added it to the upper center of the ink blended panel. Next, I stamped the candy images from the stamp in black ink and colored them using copic markers. I used the new coordinating dies to cut them out and arrange them around the ink blended panel. I used scissors to trim off the overhand and adhere to the card base leaving a thin white border. Loving Thoughts Daisy card

Image
I am happy to be sharing a project featuring sentiments from the Simon Says Stamp Loving Thoughts stamp set and coordinating dies . I have used this sentiment with a lovely layered daisy stencil set. I began by placing a quarter sheet of white cardstock on a craft tacky mat to hold the stencil in place while I used distress oxide to apply ink with a blender brush.  I did not have to apply ink to the daisy head stencil. I wanted to leave it white. I then trimmed down the stenciled panel to fit an A2 size card base. I wanted to leave a white border and room at the bottom for a sentiment. I tied some burlap twine around the bottom part of the panel. I then stamped the sentiment in clear ink on white cardstock and and added gold embossing powder over it. After shaking off the excess and pouring it back into the container, I heat set the stamped sentiment and used the coordinating die to cut it out and added it to the bottom of the card using foam squares. I just love layering stencil s...

Hi all and welcome to another week of the  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . This week's challenge theme ~  Quite Quirky! We are featuring products from Paper Artsy . You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a  $25 voucher to the Simon store! This week I am going out of my comfort zone and using a new medium. I am going to create two stenciled backgrounds using Paper Artsy Watermelon Chalk Acrylic paint and a sponge dauber. I just love the results! I made two cards two different ways. I started with an A2 white card base made from smooth white cardstock for both.  Chalk paint was a new medium for me so I did a little research on how to use it. I chose to stencil both cards using the chalk paint using a make up sponge. I found using a low tack adhesive spray helped keep the dainty stencil in place and prevented bleeding. Using a make up spon...
