Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper Release Day

Image
It's release day! I am sharing a project featuring the ILYSM die and coordinating stamps from the new Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper release .  Please click HERE if you would like to see the entire new release. This fun card came together so easy. I used a scalloped circle die to cut white flowers and a circle punch for the orange centers. I used a white gel pen and added a bit of detail to each flower. I then used a leaf die to add a green leaf to each flower. I used foam squares to adhered the flowers and leaves to a square panel of yellow cardstock which was trimmed to fit an A2 size card base. I then trimmed off the overhanging flowers and layered the yellow panel onto a coral panel and adhered that to the card base. Last, I cut the ILYSM letters from the die set 3 times from white cardstock and added them under the yellow floral panel. I used a phrase from the coordinating stamp set for my sub-sentiment. I hope you enjoyed the project I made and got some inspiration.  I...

Hey Friend Birdie card

Image
Hello crafty friends! I'm a little late to the game sharing a project I made using the way cute Simon Says Stamp Birdies die set from the Friend Like You release . I just absolutely had so much fun die cutting these little cuties out that I had to share. I began by die cutting out all my little birdies and their parts from colored cardstock. I glued their bits together and set them aside. I then took a half sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock and ran one side through a floral embossing folder for texture. I then die cut an arch from coral cardstock to fit the front of my card and provide a nice window to feature my birdies hanging out together! I used a white gel pen to add detail to the birdies and around the arch. I stamped the sentiments using a light brown inik and white embossing ink that I heat set on the bottom of the arch. I hope you enjoyed the project I have made and got some inspiration. I have listed the supplies I used if you are interested. Thank you for stopping by ...

Trio of Wedding cards

Image
I have had a rush of weddings this year and my supply of wedding cards is depleted. I shopped my stash and came up with the Simon Says Stamp Fancy Happy Ever After die. I was able to create 3 beautiful weddings cards in one afternoon. I used this formula: sentiment die, embossing folder and ink.  For this first card I used the popular technique of adding ink to the inside of the flat side of the embossing fold with light blue ink. I added the wedding sentiment and a frame cut from white cardstock. Next, I used a floral embossing folder that had dies included to cut out a few of the florals. I ink blended the sentiment and added a few enamel dots. Last I used a plaid embossing folder. I used a few pastel copic colors to add color to the embossing folder alson with a tape runner and clear glitter. I added an adorable bow for a finishing touch. I hope you enjoyed the projects I made and got some inspiration to use this easy formula for beautiful results. I have provided a list of sup...

Manipulating Die Cuts Daisy card

Image
Collecting craft dies can be an expensive hobby.  I love to get the most use out of them. I wanted to create a fairly simple colorful project using a small daisy as my focal point. When I looked through my stash , I found the perfect little outline daisy from the Simon Says Stamp Floral Stem  but I did not want the other attached flowers and leaves. So, with a little snip here and a little snip there I was able to have the image I wanted! I began with an A2 card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel to layer on the card base. I wanted to customise a plaid background. I used  a ruler and copic markers to do so.  Sorry if this sounds so redundant. I need to hire a writer for my blog posts!🤣 I used detail scissors to cut away the parts of the floral stem die that I did not want. I just wanted the outline daisy for this project. I cut it out three times for thickness from white cardstock. I used the inside of the petals to color with distres...

This folder is not only very versatile to create all types of projects but the price point is amazing. Thank you Simon! I began by ink blending a white panel of cardstock with distress inks. I then ran that panel through the embossing folder. I used sandpaper to gently rub away the areas of the raised impression to remove the color and expose the white paper underneath. I then added this panel to an A2 size card base along with a frame I cut twice from heavy cardstock. I then cut the daisies heads and leaves f...
