Hello! I am happy to share an super easy, yet beautiful, technique to create lots of birthday cards. It's a new year and I love have on hand lots of birthday cards to send and to share with friends and family.   I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock.  I then took another piece of white cardstock and ran it through the  Tumbling Flowers embossing folder . I used the coordinating  Tumbling Flowers set of stencils  to some simple ink blending for each raised flower. I then trimmed the inked and embossed panel down and adhered it to the card base. I die cut the birthday sentiment using the  Birthday Wishes die  from gold cardstock and fun foam for some dimension. I adhered it to the lower right side of the card. Last, I used gold watercolor to the centers of each flower for a bit of shine. I have created a reel over on my Instagram page that demonstrates the process. Hello crafty friends! Is it too soon to be thinking about Valentine's Day projects? Well if you are already looking for ideas, you've come to the right place. I am using the gorgeous Dotted Hearts 3d embossing folder from the new Simon Says Stamp To Love release .  I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down another piece of white cardstock and ran it through the Dotted Hearts 3d embossing folder . I pulled out some red and pink copic markers to color each raised heart. I added detail and patters to a few of the hearts using a white gel pen. I used a light gray copic marker to color in between the hearts for more contrast. I then die cut the sentiment from silver glitter cardstock. I also cut two additional sentiments from heavy cardstock to adhere together for thickness. Hello crafty friends! I am so happy to be sharing a project using some goodies from the new Simon Says Stamp To Love release. I have used the Oh, Shiitake! stamp and die set from this new release. Anyone you know need a little levity right now? This stamp set is perfect! I began with an A2 size card base cut from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a piece of pattern paper to leave about a half inch white border. I used a bit of distress ink to add a bit of dimension to edges of the panel. I stamped the mushrooms from the Oh, Shiitake stamp set in black ink and colored them using copic markers. I fussy cut them out and arranged them around the pattern paper panel with 3d foam squares. The sentiment is also from the stamp set and I used the coordinating dies to cut it out. I finished this project off by adding detail to the mushrooms with a white detail pen. I am sharing a fun shaving cream technique to create backgrounds to showcase dies from Simon Says Stamp. I heard about this technique about 25 years ago. I have seen it pop up here and there over the years and I finally wanted to give it a try. I created a reel over on my Instagram page showing how I did this. I began with 110lb white cardstock 8 1/2 x 11 sheet cut into four pieces. I used shaving cream to create a fluffy rectangle bed on a flat plate. I used a palette knife or off-set spatula to smooth the top surface of the shaving cream. I then chose a few dye based re-inkers in blues and pinks....

I am always looking for new or fun ways to share background techniques for your card projects. This is not a new technique but it sure is fun! The possibilities are endless! Have you tried using die cuts to create a textured and customized background? For the background panel: I die cut the Birthday Wishes and shadow 5 times and glued them together and arranged them in a diagonal pattern on a white piece of cardstock that I had trimmed down to leave a bit of a border. With a paid of large sharp scissors I trimmed of the pieces of the word dies that were hanging over the edge. I used some of those pieces to fill in area on the panel that needed it. I then die cut the candles from two shades of scrap cardstock in each of the 5 colors. I adhered them together with liquid glue. I die cut the flames for the candles from matte gold cardstock. I am happy to share a project using a few of my favorite holiday stamp sets from Lawn Fawn. I have created some fun gift tags for this challenge. Each tag is made using a circle scalloped eyelet die and nested circle dies cut from green and red cardstock adhered together with liquid glue. Squirrel tag: Using black ink I colored the images from the Cheery Christmas stamp set using copic markers. I fussy cut them out and popped them up with foam squares. I stamped the sentiment from the Toboggan Together stamp set . Reindeer tag: I stamped the reindeer and christmas lights from the Cheery Christmas stamp set in black...

Sharing a project using the adorable Festive Elephants stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp DieCember release . This set is just too cute. I have made a card and matching tag to share today. I made the A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I then die cut a pattern paper panel to leave a thick white border and adhered to the card base. I then die cut the MERRY sentiment from white, red and pink cardstock. After I assembled, I adhered to the center of the card base. I then stamped the images from the new Festive Elephants with black alcohol  friendly ink.  I colored them with copic markers and fussy cut them out and added them around the Merry sentiment with foam tape. I then die cut some small snowflakes and added them to the card along with a stamped sentiment in red ink and cut into a strip. There are so many amazing inks out there but I have to admit for years now distress inks are my go to medium when adding color to my projects. I have created a fun distress inked blended background.
