I am sharing the gorgeous Gina K Designs Zinnia stencil with a project I have made for this week's stencil. I'm also in need of a cheery birthday card for a friend and thought this stencil would be perfect to use. I made this card using an A2 size card base cut from smooth white cardstock. I then took another piece of cardstock to use the Zinnia stencil to create a colorful and textured background using distress ink and transparent texture gloss. After I added the distress ink through the stencil, I left it in place and added the texture glaze over the stencil with an of- set spatula. I set it aside to dr...

Lots of Texture White Poinsettias

Image
Hello crafty friends! I am happy to share a project I created with the amazing Brilliant Poinsettia emboss and cut folder to create some texture overload! I created this card using an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then masked off a rectangle on another piece of white cardstock to create an ink blended and stamped background.  I began with salvaged patina distress ink and a round blending tool to add the first layer. Next, I added a darker shade of ink to the edges with a darker blue. Before pulling off the mask I stamped the text background using the same darker blue ink and added some gold paint splatter. I then die cut the panel out using a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card base. Here the steps I took to create the very textured poinsettias: I first used the coordinating die that is included with the purchase of the Brilliant Poinsettia embossing folder and cut out three poinsettia shapes from white cardstock. I then took those shapes I c...

I am so happy to share a project using the Pink and Main Stitched Circle Frame dies . This is an absolute must have for your crafting arsenal. I just love to create a little scene on a card and these dies are perfect to frame it! I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then trimmed down a panel of more white cardstock to run through a snowflake embossing folder. I adhered that panel to the card base using double sided tape. To make the snowy scene I die cut a circle and ink blended it using distress ink. I then die cut several small snowflakes from white cardstock and glued them to th...

Pair of Christmas cards

Image
Hello crafty friends! Today I will be sharing a pair of Christmas cards using a couple of dies from the Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes release . I began with an A2 size card base for both cards and they are virtually identical and were made the same way. I then used a wonky stitched rectangle die to cut a panel from colored cardstock.  I then used distress ink to add darker colors to the edges. I then used white paint and gold paint mixed with water to add splatter to the inked panels. I used the same wonky stitched rectangle die to cut out a white panel that I will use for a snow drift. I used a stitched border landscape die to create the drift. I then die cut the Stylized Tree die out of white cardstock 3 times for thickness. I adhered together with liquid glue and adhered it to the inked panel. I then die cut the Merry Christmas sentiment from gold matte cardstock and added it to the center top portion of the tree with liquid glue. Last, I added white crystal gems to the branch...

Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes Blog Hop - Day 1

Image
I'm happy to be participating in day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes blog hop. I am sharing a project using the gorgeous new Poinsettia Field embossing folder . I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then placed another piece of white cardstock inside the Poinsettia Field embossing folder and ran it through my die cut machine to create the impression. I then trimmed it down to fit the card base and leave a thin border. I colored the raised poinsettias with copic markers. Using gold paint and a paintbrush, I painted the centers of each flower. I used a sentiment from the new Heartfelt Snowflakes stamp set . I stamped it using clear embossing ink and sprinkled gold embossing powder over and heat set it. When it was cooled I used the coordinating die to cut it out and added to the uncolored area of the embossed panel with foam tape. There is a special offer for this blog hop! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡Just follow the steps to receive your free gift! Simon is also g...
