Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes Blog Hop - Day 1

Image
I'm happy to be participating in day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes blog hop. I am sharing a project using the gorgeous new Poinsettia Field embossing folder . I began with an A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then placed another piece of white cardstock inside the Poinsettia Field embossing folder and ran it through my die cut machine to create the impression. I then trimmed it down to fit the card base and leave a thin border. I colored the raised poinsettias with copic markers. Using gold paint and a paintbrush, I painted the centers of each flower. I used a sentiment from the new Heartfelt Snowflakes stamp set . I stamped it using clear embossing ink and sprinkled gold embossing powder over and heat set it. When it was cooled I used the coordinating die to cut it out and added to the uncolored area of the embossed panel with foam tape. There is a special offer for this blog hop! πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡Just follow the steps to receive your free gift! Simon is also g

Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes Release Day

Hello crafty friends! I am so happy to be sharing a project using some goodies from the new Simon Says Stamp Sweet Wishes release. This release has a little of everything you could want for the upcoming holidays and more! I created a birthday mini-slimline card using the new Layering Balloon Border stencil set . There are four stencils in this set. Using 3 of the 4 stencils I used shades of red distress ink on white cardstock and a black fine tipped marker to draw in the strings. I was hoping to create a simple but dramatic scene. I trimmed it down to fit on a black mini slimline card base. I trimmed it down to fit on a black mini slimline card base. The sentiment from a pre-printed card from this release. I trimmed it out and used a 3d foam square to pop it up in the center of the balloons.  I hope you enjoyed the projects I made and got some inspiration! I have listed and linked all the supplies. I use affiliate links as no extra cost to you that help support this blog. Thank you fo

Hi all and welcome to another week of the  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge . This week's challenge theme is   Things with Wings! We are featuring products from Honey Bee . You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a  $25 voucher to the Simon store! Sometimes even the most seasoned and experienced paper crafter can make an unfortunate mistake. I had a wonderful Honey Bee stencil that I wanted to use for this week's challenge. I was trying out a new technique using pigment ink with the stencil. Wanting to dry the ink a little before lifting off the stencil to avoid smudging, I used my heat tool. BIG mistake!! I misjudged how much heat this poor stencil could handle before it melted. I am sharing this story in hopes that someone will learn from my mistake. I created this A2 size card base from smooth white cardstock. I wanted to create a distressed wood fenc
