Doodlebug Use Pattern Paper

Hi all and welcome to another week of the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

This week's challenge theme is Use Pattern Paper

We are featuring products from Doodlebug. You don't have to use them to join in but if you have some we would to see what you make. As always just for entering you will be eligible for the drawing of a $25 voucher to the Simon store!
I am so happy to share some inspiration for this week's challenge. I have chosen to use the Doodlebug Polka dot 6x6 paper pad for my project.
I began with a top folding A2 size card base made from smooth white cardstock. I then took another piece of white cardstock and scored lines vertically about a half inch apart. I then took this scored panel and using a distress ink pad I ran it across the scored lines to achieve a wood grain look. I trimmed this panel down to leave a bit of a white border.  For the scene I added a cloud border on the top.
I glued the twine down for the banners that I cut from the pattern paper. I inked the edges with the same distress ink that I used for the woodgrain panel. I then die cut flowers, leaves and grass from the same pattern paper and added it to the bottom of the panel with foam squares. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock cut them into strips and adhered with more foam squares.
I hope you enjoyed the project I have made for this challenge and got some inspiration! For your convenience I have listed and linked the supplies I have used below. Thank you so much for stopping by!
